When the Admin Approval Mode is enabled in Windows, the local administrator account functions like a standard user account with the ability to elevate privileges without logging on by using a different account.

- Click Start
- Type Run
- Press Enter
- Type gpedit.msc
- Click OK
- Browse to Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> Security Options
- Select User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for the Built-in Admistrator account.
- Sign out and sign back in.
